Free-to-Play Fridays are happening and it’s all about teens. They’re hosting a drop-in game night with Nintendo Switch, Xbox consoles, and Beyblade arenas set up and ready to go. From racing and brawling to building and strategy games, it’s all free to play and easy to jump into.

Take a short guided hike with a park volunteer to the EarthScope station at Enchanted Rock State Natural Area to learn how real-world earth science works. You’ll see the geophysical instrument that measures things like tectonic plate motion and atmospheric conditions, plus get a close-up look at science in action.

A hands-on seed sowing activity at Riverside Nature Center where participants plant native seeds in recycled containers to take home and grow. A simple, seasonal way to get ready for spring.

This is the final weekend of the Kerrville Renaissance Festival. Expect knights, jesters, live performances, artisan vendors, period food, music, and plenty of costumed fun throughout the day. A lively, family-friendly outdoor festival.

Craft of the day: Wild West Eye-Spy and Scavenger Hunt From Brush to Crayon

Bring the family out to enjoy the latest exhibit, the Journey West Children’s Gallery, western art and artifacts, and the museum store.

Pro tip: The Journey West Children’s Gallery is fully hands-on. Kids can dress up, climb into a life-size chuckwagon, explore a teepee, and play freely. Nothing is off limits in that room. It’s one of the most relaxed, kid-friendly museum spaces in the area.
