Kids ages 8-17 can take a free introductory airplane ride with volunteer pilots through the EAA Young Eagles program. It's a rare opportunity for young aviation enthusiasts to experience flight and learn more about general aviation.

Shark Week at the Science Mill

Celebrate Shark Week with jaw-some hands-on STEM activities, shark-themed challenges, and interactive exhibits throughout the museum. Kids ages 10-17 can also register for the guided Shark Dissection Workshop for an up-close look at shark anatomy with a Science Mill Education Specialist.

Backyard Bass

Learn the basics of fishing with this hands-on program covering casting, common Texas fish species, and fishing regulations. After the lesson, participants can borrow a fishing pole from the Discovery Center to practice on their own. Bring your own bait if you plan to fish afterward.
